Abstract
A decision support system (DSS) is a concept that is widely used in decision-making. SPK is used as a tool to facilitate decision-makers on certain issues. SPK can work to extract information based on data that is used objectively. This study aims to adopt the SPK concept with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in determining the selection of new students in the doctoral program. The AHP method can select the criteria that have been determined in the selection of new students. The criteria used in the selection of new student admissions are Academic Potential Test Score (C1), Proposal Score (C2), Interview Score (C3), Group (C4), Functional Position (C5), Number of Scopus Indexed Articles (C6), Total Sinta Indexed Articles (C7) and Years of Work (C8). The research dataset uses a sample of 67 prospective new student data in the process of testing the performance of the AHP method in determining graduation. Based on testing the AHP method, it presents results in the form of ranking in determining the selection of new students. These results present a fairly effective output in determining student graduation. With the results of the performance of the AHP method, the contribution of this research is to provide efficiency in the selection process for determining prospective new students in the doctoral program.
