Abstract
In the agricultural sector, land is a factor that plays a very important role in determining agricultural business. Soil fertility is one of the determinants of the success of agricultural business. Each region has a soil fertility level that varies and depends on the type of soil and its geographical location. One way to choose the right land to plant is to look at the level of acidity. Not all plants are suitable for planting, especially in peat soils which have different levels of acidity. This study presents the design of soil acidity detection system for plant species using fuzzy logic method to determine the type of plant according to data from agricultural experts. The measurement results obtained are in accordance with the calculation and criteria for land that has been carried out in a particular area. Decision making on soil acidity requires variable input and output. The input variable consists of soil weathering and fertilizer, while for the output variable which consists of soil acidity. Variables produce several rules that are used to determine soil acidity. A case gets a very small difference between using manual calculations and Matlab.
