Abstract

Healthy and beautiful skin, is the desire of all women. This is because it relates to appearance that can be seen and judged by others, thereby increasing self- confidence. Every woman tries to maintain the beauty of her skin, especially for problems that occur with the skin. If you experience skin beauty problems, women tend to want to find solutions and treatments from aesthetic experts. Based on these problems, it is necessary to design an Expert System to make it easier for women to diagnose skin aesthetic diseases from the symptoms they feel. Expert System is a computer program that simulates the assessment and behavior of humans who have expert knowledge and experience in a particular field. One of the Expert System methods used in this research is Certainty Factor. This method works by defining a measure of the capacity of a fact or rule, in expressing the level of confidence of an expert. The data used in this study were patient data and symptom and disease data from skin estheticians. The results of this Expert System are in the form of the results of the Certainty Factor value and the diagnosis of aesthetic skin diseases in women and the type of treatment solutions. The test was carried out on the data of a female patient based on the CF value from the expert and the rules that had been determined with a diagnosis of experiencing acne vulgaris with a CF value of 83%. It is hoped that by designing this system, patients with skin aesthetic diseases can easily find out the problems they are experiencing so that patients can get prevention and treatment solutions more quickly.
